Hi! My name is Kate Fleming and I’m painting a mural. This blog exists to keep you in the know about my mural-making process: from sketches, to digital illustrations, and all the way to the finished product. This project is commissioned by Engleside Cooperative, a condominium on the corner of Lee Highway and North Veitch Street in Arlington, Virginia. Their 110-foot retaining wall in front of the complex was in desperate need of an update and they asked for my help. As an emerging artist from Arlington, I gladly took on the project.
